Eucharistic Adoration

What is it?

Eucharistic Adoration is a name used to describe prayer done in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. During Eucharistic Adoration, a consecrated host is placed in a monstrance on the Altar so that those who wish may see and pray before Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist. Adorers are scheduled for each hour so that continuous adoration is accomplished.

When is it?

Eucharistic Adoration at St. Joseph Church takes place every week, on Tuesdays from 8:30 AM until 9:00 PM and on Thursdays from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. At least two or three people are scheduled each hour. We have a strong program, but it is imperative that we continue to welcome new adorers to ensure the maintenance and growth of our Adoration program.

Why do it?

Fr. Schumacher believes that St. Joseph will be greatly blessed if our priority as a parish is centered on the Eucharist.

Pope John Paul II urges perpetual Adoration in all parishes.

Through the spiritual food of the Eucharist, Jesus refreshes us in mind and spirit. Through the Blessed Sacrament, He gives the graces of encouragement, strength and guidance.

Your willingness to choose an assigned hour 5s a precious expression of your faith. Whatever you give of yourself to Him will return many times over in blessings seen and unseen.
