Play and Learning

Toddlers learn through play, so we have our room set up to provide a wonderful learning experience. We have our own playground with toddler appropriate play equipment. We are also able to use the school gym when the weather is bad.

A calendar is sent out monthly. It contains a different theme everyday. Daily we try to incorporate an art project, books, songs, sensory, fine and gross motor skill activities to go along with the theme.

We also schedule a few field trips throughout the year.

Due to the wide range of age in the toddler room, we split the one year olds from the two and three year olds during activities. This way we can provide extra and appropriate attention to the children.
