Director - Allison Floberg

Position: I am currently the Director of EYLC St. Joseph's Daycare. There is never a dull moment and the people here are so much fun to work with!

Hometown: I was born in Moorhead, MN but I have lived all over the place. I spent most of my childhood in upstate New York with my Mom and in the summers I would be in Fort Yates, ND with my Dad. When I was 16 I moved from NY to ND to live with my Dad during the school year and then I would visit my Mom in the summer. I went to college in Moorhead, MN so I lived there for4 years of college plus 1 of work after graduation. Then I lived in Kansas City, Missouri for a year and now I am back in ND and currently living in Bismarck but looking for residency in Mandan.

Education: I graduated from Standing Rock High School in Fort Yates, ND in 2003. I went to Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and graduated with a B.A. in Child Development and a minor in Sociology in 2007. I plan to get my Masters as well but have not decided on a college at this time.

Teaching/Work Experience: In college I was a Supervisor of about 10 college students who worked in the cafeteria, catering services and our coffee shop. After college I worked in a group home for teenagers and adults with severe psychiotic disorders. At the same time during the day I worked at a Montessori school with the infants. From there I moved to Missouri and worked as a nanny for 2 surgeons.

Family: I have 3 half brothers, Isaiah who is almost 12, Joshua who is almost 10 and John Michael who will be 6 on Christmas day. I also have a 3 month old daughter, Nora.

Interests: I love traveling and taking pictures. Some day I want to have a Dark Room to develop my own pictures in but for now I enjoy my digital camera and all the fun things I can do with it.
