Meals
The meals are prepared and served by the cooking staff of St. Joseph School. The meals are planned with the children's nutritional needs as well as their appetites in mind. Menus are available and are posted on the Parent Board. In the center we believe in encouraging the children to try all foods. If the children do not like what is being served on any particular day we encourage the parents to provide a cold lunch for the children. A combination of cold lunch and hot lunch is not permitted. We provide one kind of formula and baby food for infants up to 2 snacks and 1 meal a day. Parents can provide their own formula and baby food for their infants if they prefer.
The price for hot lunch is $1.10 for infants and toddlers and $1.30 for 3-12 year olds. Each snack (AM and PM) is $.40 a piece. Please see if you qualify for free or reduced lunch. The prices for reduced lunch is $.40 and $.15 for each reduced snack. The hot lunch and snacks include milk.
There is a sign up sheet for hot lunch or cold lunch that is located on the sign in desk. It is the parent's responsibility to sign the children up daily by 8:30 AM. If you do not let us know by 8:30 AM if your child is eating hot lunch you will have to bring a cold lunch. Please note, that when there is no school during the school year but the daycare is still open or on holidays when the daycare is still open there are times when no hot lunch is available. We will inform you of the days when no hot lunch is served a head of time. Milk is available for the days there is no hot lunch or for cold lunches at a cost $.25 per carton or milk tickets may be purchased for $5.00 for twenty cartons of milk.
Our schedule for snacks and lunch is as follows:
AM Snack: 9:00am
Lunch: 11:30am
PM Snack: 3:00pm- younger children, 3:30pm- school children
