Education: Graduated of Tappen H S. BS Degree in
Secondary Education English Major & Physical Education Minor from Valley
City State. Masters Degree in Elementary Administration University of Mary,
Bismarck 2000.
Position: K-6 Principal at Saint Joseph School
Teaching⁄Work Experience: I taught high school English
at Hendrum, MN, coached 5-8 grade volleyball and basketball for several
years, and I have been a substitute teacher in all of the schools, Catholic
& public in Bismarck⁄Mandan. I began teaching physical education at Saint
Joseph in 1990 and was hired as the principal in 1997.
Family: David, is married to Jennifer Kabanuck of
Bismarck, and they and their son and daughter Logan and Shelby, live south
of the cities in Goodhue, MN. David works for Pine Bend Refinery and Jen is
a stay and home mom. Mary Ellen, is married to Mikkal Rolfson of Bismarck.
They and their son, Parker, live in West Fargo, ND. Mary Ellen is the
Accounting Controller for Vanity Inc. and Mike is a Graphic Designer for
FRS.
Interests: I enjoy spending time with family and
friends, reading, listening to music, and I am a retired volleyball and
softball player!
Why you like teaching in a Catholic School: I really
like the fact that we can talk about God, pray together, and teach and learn
more about the Catholic Faith. At Saint Joseph there is a strong sense of
family amongst the staff, parents, and students and the support is
tremendous!

November 20th, 2003 was National Appreciation Day for Cathololic Principals. The staff recognized Mrs. Vogel and all of her hard work and dedication by presenting her with a gift at Mass on November 20th.
